Why freelance marketing?
Who benefits from freelancing marketing?
that want one person to support their marketing efforts.
→ Agencies
that need clean, on-tone white-label delivery.
→ Solopreneurs + micro businesses
that want to grow their marketing without hiring a team member.
Do I really need freelance marketing?
This is the most common question I get asked and here’s my honest answer.
As a small business owner, I understand the temptation to try and do it all myself. You tell yourself you could learn how to build a website, post on Instagram, write a blog, design a flyer… and maybe you could.
But at what cost?
Time away from serving customers, making products, or doing the work you’re actually great at.
I think about it the same way I think about my accounting.
Technically, I could do it myself. However, it would take twice as long (at least!), stress me out, and take me away from work that moves my business forward. That’s why I hire an expert, and it’s why my clients do the same when it comes to marketing.
Freelance support like mine gives you the freedom to dip in and out, get help where you need it most, and build a professional presence without the pressure of committing to in-house team members.
I’m here to support you in a way that fits your business, your goals, and your life.
How can I work with you?
Ongoing.
A simple monthly retainer where I act as part of your team—planning ahead, clearing the right jobs, and keeping your marketing moving. You get priority time, proactive ideas, and steady progress with one point of contact.
Project.
A focused piece of work with a clear goal and set timeframe (e.g. a 6-month article series). I will carry out the work and leave a tidy handover so you can keep it going.
Ad-hoc.
One-off help for a specific task e.g. tidy a landing page or some CMS updates. Ideal when you just need something done but don’t want to commit to a longer engagement.
Freelancer FAQs.
-
Small professional services teams (legal, financial, consulting, technical), founder-led agencies, solo business owners and small charities—people who are great at what they do and want a clean, consistent presence online.
-
Absolutely. If you’re unsure what you need or where to even start with your marketing, that’s totally normal. I can help you figure out what to prioritise based on your business and goals.
-
Happily. I’ll work under your brand, return on-tone drafts, and publish in the client CMS if requested.
-
Yes! While I offer all-in-one marketing support, I also work on individual projects like website builds, content, social media management, or branding. You’ll only ever pay for what you actually need.
-
Multiple freelancers working on different aspects of your marketing can muddy the water and dilute your brand. I bring everything—website, content, design, and strategy—together, so it all works as a single, cohesive system.
-
Working with me means you get one point of contact, no inflated costs, and a more personal experience. I bring experience from an agency without the layers of account managers, long-term contracts, and unnecessary extras.
-
Yes—I’ve done this during agency life and as a freelancer. I can manage freelance briefs, edits, answering questions and light reporting.
-
Every client is unique, so I strive to be flexible and transparent in my pricing approach. I can offer marketing support from as little as a few hours every couple of months to one day a week, depending on your needs and my availability.
-
Yes. A paid content trial day is a great way to see how I work: I’ll write and optimise one high-value article (imagery, titles/meta, heading, internal links) and publish or hand back ready to go.
3 reasons a freelancer can be the right fit.
Affordable
Hiring internally typically comes with high overheads, from monthly retainers to employee benefits. As a freelancer, I offer transparent and flexible pricing that works for your budget. You get marketing support without paying for an extra seat in the office. Win-win!
Flexibility
Whether you need help once a week, once a month, or just once in a while, you’re not locked into long-term contracts when you choose my freelance marketing services. Book me for a few hours, a full day, or monthly support depending on what your business needs. No minimum spend. No pressure.
One person
When you hire me, you’re not juggling five different freelancers or passing briefs through different levels of account managers. You get one point of contact who understands your brand, your goals, and how everything connects. It means cohesive work, faster results, and a better working relationship.
